The Luggage Set

The luggage set comprises a standard suitcase and a wheeled cabin case, and both are very impressive. The wheeled cabin luggage (carry on X) in particular stands out for its quality and design. It looks smart, feels robust, and gives immediate confidence when traveling.

On its first check in it was required to go into the hold, and it emerged in perfect condition, which speaks volumes about the build quality. The finish also makes it easy to identify on the baggage carousel, which is a small but genuinely useful detail.

The case encourages careful packing, as you want to ensure everything sits neatly before closing, but the locking mechanisms are excellent and secure. Resetting the combination is straightforward and intuitive.

The wheels are the standout feature across both pieces. The smoothness, balance and ease with which they move through airports is superb, even when fully loaded. Manoeuvring through terminals and onto transport is effortless.

Overall this is a very well designed, elegant and highly practical luggage set that clearly prioritises quality, durability and ease of travel.

Debated between the Core and Hybrid sets, decided to keep the Core set due to solid frame and more distinctive colorway. Currently on 16 day trip and the wheels are truly fantastic. Also appreciate the fact that they open flat like a book so everything is easily accessible.

1) strongly urge CF to consider adding a handle at the bottom of each suitcase given their weight when packed.

2) the large check-in exceeds some Asian carriers’ size limits, so check airline dimensions carefully.

3) ordered extra compression pads; as another reviewer mentioned CF should include these to begin with.

4) for the check-in I’d recommend purchasing a suitcase cover to keep damage from rough handling at bay.
